Blogging for Media & Society 4

What's up World!
Well today was filled with lots of interesting interactions with media. I spent half of my day at work and then the other half at school.

At the magazine, we are busy at Press week so I'm busy helping put things together at the last minute when random ads want to come in. I spent a lot of time on the Internet looking up businesses and information about companies. I had to shorten a press release and product information.

In Media & Society we talked about the wonders of World Wide Web and how our generation was affected by it. It's amazing to think that I can do many things on my phone that people 5 years ago had to drive all over town for (banking, movie times, order food, etc.). In my Modern American Literature class my teacher saw an ad in the New York Times newspaper about the Broadway musical Ragtime coming back. We happen to be reading the book and we were able to watch some clips online of the program. It was crazy how we could just click and watch what people have paid money for. In my Mathematical Reasoning class we talked about gas prices since there was a recent article in the Democrat-Gazette talking about fluctuating prices. We discussed the article and proved how the man was wrong in his math.

That was really about it today. I did just get done seeing "A Christmas Carol" and a thought popped in my head about how much producers spend on promoting their movie in the previews. I've always been curious about that. Hmmm guess I'll have to do some research about that. Well that's all for now! I have one last blog to do tomorrow morning and then I'm done blogging about interactions with the media...I'm a little sad :(

Peace & Love!
